Since a transformed gladiator will be notably weaker than an actual animal of the same level, the main use for the transformation skills is healing. Each time a gladiator transforms to OR from a beast form, he retains the same percentage of maximum HP he previously had, plus an additional 20%. Also note that the transformation may change the effective weight class of the unit; transforming a Medium into a Light Wolf or Plains Cat may be useful when facing a Heavy.
